We’re really excited to announce that Buckets v0.76.0 is now in Beta and includes support for payees and a much improved transaction page. Download the latest beta here, or wait for the stable version to be released in the future.
Adding a Payee field to transactions has been one of the most requested features for a long time. It’s here! And it comes with fuzzy matching auto-complete.
In the future, we’ll plan on creating some reports that will take advantage of this field, so you can see how much money you spend on Amazon every year.
Another long-requested feature that has finally arrived is mass editing of transactions! You can now update multiple transaction dates, accounts, payees and memos at once.
Click the “Edit” button at the top of the page to get started.
As part of this change, you can now select or deselect all the visible transactions at once by clicking on the checkbox in the header of the table. I know, I know—this should have been a feature 10 years ago.
Alongside the new “Edit” button, you’ll see another one for filtering transactions by Account, Payee, Memo, Amount and whether it’s categorized or not.
In addition, you can now click the headers to sort by any of the columns. I’m pretty sure our new workflow will be to sort by category and categorize until all the transactions drop to the bottom of the list!
